Rural Agriculture First taught at Oxford University

Before 1790, agriculture was a family run business. Information on “How to grow crops” and “Hoe to do Animal husbandry” was handed down Father to Son. But in 1790 that all changed when Oxford University, in Oxford, England, established Professorship of Rural Agriculture.
