Napoleon Bonaparte Emperor of France

Napoleon Bonaparte was proclaimed Emperor of France, on May 28, 1804. When on December 2, 1804, at the cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris, received the crown from Pope Pius VII during a lavish ceremony. Everything was going to plan until at the climactic moment, Napoleon famously seized the crown from the Pope and set it on his own head.
