Muhammad First Mosque

Muhammad built the Prophet’s Mosque between 622-634 in his Medina, Saudi Arabia backyard. The mosque opened on the sides, palm tree pillars supported the roof, the pulpit, minbar were built facing Mecca as per Islamic law. Following a razing by caliph al-Walid in 706 a permanent mosque was built on-site.
