Nightingale Training School for Nurses

Florence Nightingale founded the Nightingale Training School for Nurses at St. Thomas’s Hospital in London, England on June 1860. Nightingale founded the school with £50,000 donated by the public from her work during the Crimean War and harassing the military authorities into cleaning up the filthy conditions in its hospitals.
