Nathan Smith Published Dinosaur Fossil Remains

Nathan Smith described primitive prosauropod Anchisaurus fossils unearthed by a Connecticut farmer, Solomon Ellsworth, Jr .in 1818, in the publication American Journal of Science and Arts dated 1820. The dinosaur was from the late Triassic, early Jurassic period.
