Russia Makes Abortions Readily Available

The Soviet Union first made abortions freely available that offered free abortions on demand beginning in 1920. Abortion became the Soviet Union’s most common form of birth control. Originally, Josef Stalin prohibited abortions after World War II when 20 million Soviets were killed.
