Zheng He Created a Sea Chart

Admiral and diplomat Zheng He created the earliest known sea chart of the southern Asian and Indian waters during his seventh voyage in 1431-33. The chart plots his voyage from Nanking to ports along the Arabian and east African coasts, the chart also contained detailed sailing instructions depicting accurate coastlines of China and nearby regions of Asia.
