First Egyptian Physician

Imhotep, the physician built the Step Pyramid for King Zoser circa 2650 BCE and is history’s first architect and engineer. His medical services were rendered as royal magician and astrologer. Imhotep was elevated to the Egyptian pantheon as god of medicine which later became the Greek god of medicine, Asclepius.
