Fokine Created Ballet with Coordinated Movement

Russian ballet choreographer Mikhail Mikhaylovich Fokine coordinating movement, music, theme, setting, and costumes from such works as L’Oiseau de feu (The Firebird) and Petrouchka for the Diaghilev Ballets Russes. In 1914. Fokine published a letter in The Times of London advocating the creation of dramatic works that expressed the full integration of solo and group movement within other component arts of the ballet. Previously ballets were considered composers’ work not the choreographers.
