Beeton’s Book of Household Management, by Isabella Beeton

Beeton’s Book of Household Management, was written by Isabella Beeton and published in London, England, in 1861. It was a collections of articles she wrote for her husbands magazine called The Englishwoman’s Domestic Magazine. She was from a large family (having younger 21 siblings) and having four kids of her own, offered up particle suggestions on every aspect of running a middle-class English home. Subject mater covered tested, tried and true recipes, cleaning, cooking, planning menus, keeping household accounts, hiring and supervising servants, choosing a wardrobe, and making good conversation, everything an english woman needed to know about running a household.
