Walt Disney’s “Steamboat Willie” was the first animated film produced with sound in Hollywood, CA, USA first shown on September 19, 1928, at the Colony Theatre, New York, NY, USA. The soundtrack ran the entire film length and was accurately matched with the visuals. It was first film depicting the antics of Mickey Mouse with a running time of 8 minutes.
