Grand Opening of The Adler Planetarium

Adler Planetarium and Astronomical Museum was the first to open in North America located in Chicago, IL, USA by American businessman, Max Adler. The planetarium was opened on May 10, 1930 by Professor Philip Fox, with a dome measuring 68 feet (20.7 me-ters) in diameter, seated 450 people, and the projector was manufactured by Carl Zeiss Works.
