Air Pollution Treatise Fumifugium

John Evelyn wrote the Fumifugium or Inconvenience of the Aer and Smoke of London Dissipated in London, England, in 1661. Charles H proposed various remedies for London’s persistent smog problem, none of which were implemented until the 19th century.
